On the 6thSeptember the members of the national CISPR D committee for the automotive industry met in Xitang for discussion on several current topics.
As this event was organized by CATARC there were presentations by BMW AG regarding new test methods in the automotive sector. But also other Chinese institutes contributed their presentations about recent issues within EMC testing. One of the two main topics concerned intentional signals in vehicles and how to test their emissions, as well as possibilities of exclusion of such signals in vehicle during EMI tests. The second topic concerned component testing with Frankonia’s mobile BlueBox. For this, BMW shared their experiences of testing with the BlueBox solution. After the presentations, the members of the committee started discussions about how to integrate the new topics and solutions in the standards.
The next day, on 7thSeptember, the committee visited Frankonia Jiashan for their in-house exhibition. Beside further presentations concerning automotive testing, visitors had the opportunity to take a look inside the factory and to get more information about Frankonia’s absorber technology and products like antenna masts and test systems.
